Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Bapat was Professor Emeritus of Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Seth G. S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He is the former Chairman of Haffkine Bio-Pharmaceutical Corporation Ltd; former Governing Council member of Tata Memorial Centre; former Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Mission University of Health Sciences; and former Vice Chancellor, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Bapat’s research interests are Surgical Jaundice and Pancreatitis. He is the recipient of various awards. His publications include Art of Clinical Presentation in Surgery, Companion to Surgical Pathology, Ward No.5, KEM (Marathi & English), Swasthyavedh (Marathi & Gujarati) and Postmortem (Marathi & Gujarati). He excels in sports and is associated with various sports, cultural and social organisations.
